UUCFL seeks to provide children, youth and adults with supportive environments that promote individual self-exploration and increase knowledge of Unitarian Universalist values and principles. Lifespan learning involves living mindfully, developing practices which support our spiritual and ethical growth, and exploring questions like, “Who are we?” and “What is our purpose?” Current offerings include:
Meet the New U: The Religion U didn’t know U Needed. What’s it all about? Join us for a program that is an introduction to Unitarian Universalism.
Deeds not creeds: looking for a faith that embraces personal spiritual exploration and growth, is open to diverse sources of teachings and challenges, advocates for social justice, and nurtures an inclusive and accepting community? Then this might be the community for U. (two sessions)
Mindfulness Meditation is a simple-but-powerful practice that promotes presence and piece (/peace) of mind. This friendly, open, practice group meets online weekly. No experience is necessary. All are welcome.
LEAD (Leadership Exploration and Development) features a series of workshops to learn and practice the principles necessary for robust and healthy spiritual leadership at UUCA. These workshops are for anyone interested in leading, both long-time and new folks!
Miscellaneous Workshops have recently included Preparing For Dying With Five Wishes, Sunday Service trainings for lay service leaders, and Understanding Our Church Budget.
